Learners are producers and not merely consumers of technology through the development of multi-media products, digital journals, BLOG posts, websites, coding and programming, robotics, augmented/virtual/mixed reality tools, Apps, digital probes to collect data, O365 tools, etc. CTLS - houses all of the students work through the digital sessions for the entire year.
Survival Challenge: Footwear Prototypes
In every great survival situation, the importance of navigating any terrain on foot is critical. The ability to move from place to place, whereby feet are protected from environmental elements, foreign objects and infection is a priority. Students used mailnly recycled and reuseable materials. A total of $5.00 was permissable for this challenge. Cross-curricular connections included and were considered in the designs (but were not limited to): locations of characters and weather conditions experienced in the survival story (Language Arts); Keeping feet comfortable (thermal energy) was the Science connection; and the measurements of the shoe sizes involved Mathematics. Some art skills were also applied (E.g. painting, coloring).

Purdue University's Tech Fit Competition 2020 BMS Team: The Dazzling Dancers Exergame
STEM/TECHFIT STUDENTS: The programs offered began fully virtual in 2020 (as shown above), then later shifted to both remote and face-to-face instruction (2021). Students have been resilient and have demonstrated success with various STEM challenges and learning skills on the engineering design process.
