Unit Price
Throughout this journey of creating a solution to a problem with Covid-19, students eventually did create a final prototype. This is where the math comes in. Students, in math, had to determine the price of the materials that they used to create their prototype. If the item they needed was sold in a pack, then they had to calculate the cost of one. The students then come up with a price to produce just one of their products, the unit price. Lastly, since we have around 800 students, 90 staff and over 50 classrooms, students had to figure out how much it would cost to outfit the school with their device.
